This page explains how pawy users can request deletion of their personal data, including any data received through Facebook Login, Instagram, or other Meta products. This is pawy's Data Deletion Instructions URL for Meta app settings: https://pawy.io/privacy/data-deletion.html.
Facebook and Meta Connected Data
If you connect a Facebook, Instagram, or other Meta account to pawy, we may receive and store limited information needed to authenticate you or provide the connected feature. Depending on the feature used, this may include your Meta app-scoped user ID, name, email address, profile picture, access tokens, linked account identifiers, and related connection records.
How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your pawy account data or Meta connected data, email us at privacy@pawy.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please send the request from the email address linked to your pawy account where possible and include:
- Your pawy account email address or username;
- The Facebook, Instagram, or Meta account connected to pawy, if applicable;
- Your Meta app-scoped user ID, if you know it; and
- A short note confirming that you want your data deleted.
You may also remove pawy from your Facebook account by going to Facebook Settings, then Apps and Websites, selecting pawy, and removing the app. If Facebook offers an option to request data deletion during that flow, select it and we will process the request when we receive it.
What We Delete
After verifying your request, we will delete or anonymise personal data associated with your pawy account and any Meta connected account data we hold, including stored tokens and connection identifiers. Some records may be retained where required by law, for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal claims. Data that has already been anonymised or aggregated so that it no longer identifies you may be retained.
Processing Time
We aim to respond to deletion requests within 30 days. If we need more information to verify your identity or locate your account, we will contact you using the details provided in your request.
